Excellent monitor, huge and high quality. The colors are exceptional, and the contrast is good for an LCD screen. In horizontal mode (YOKO) with "pixel perfect" and a Mister FPGA, the entire screen isn't used, but that's normal; in Vertical mode (TATE), the image appears gigantic ! And it's really worth having this 35" monitor. I also noticed small white light areas on the sides near the frame, but they're discreet and not noticeable while gaming. To use the remote, you have to stand on the left side so the infrared LED picks up the signal. The remote doesn't come with instructions; only a few buttons work and allow you to navigate the menus. The monitor stand is decent quality and allows for very easy 90° rotations, which is great! Regarding the visual quality when using PCBs, you absolutely need a VGA scanline generator to get good visuals.
I'm happy with my purchase and I recommend it despite the price and taxes, because it provides perfect immersion. It's a good compromise compared to a CRT. The 4:3 aspect ratio is fantastic!
Absolutely stunning display. You would be hard pressed to find anything else on the market that comes close. The moment you boot into a native 4:3 game you will never want to go back to letterboxed 16:9. There are a couple of minor issues with the panel, mainly two small light leaks on the right side when showing a full black screen, could be a my unit issues or a shipping problem I did notice the tracking delivery photo was upright but when I finally got to the box it was faced down on the floor. During actual gameplay over HDMI or DisplayPort you will never notice them. The OSD can feel a bit finicky at first, but once you understand how selection and adjustments work it has been completely reliable for me
This is the best 4:3 monitor on earth- I have been using 19 and 20 inch EDTVs or monitors for mister for so many years but I always wanted something larger but could never find one without getting a widescreen but then you would have black bars-
This monitor is a dream come true and works perfect with mister and no weird issues like how i had on my EDTV with different refresh rates and random unsupported signal black screens
MISTER fills the entire screen as long as you set a few simple scaling settings in the ini file (#4 scaling setting) and retrogem hdmi consoles look fantastic on it too. Everything is perfect integer scaled and looks insanely crisp
This was absolutely worth every penny and the shipping time actually wasnt that bad either and was packaged perfectly
Arcooda sells a stand for these monitors and they are built like a tank-super heavy and sturdy
If you want to play retro games on a 4:3 monitor there really is NO better option on this planet.
